Brief Paperwork
Upon entering our office, we will have some brief paperwork for you to tell us about yourself and all the details about why you are here today. This paperwork will provide us with general information about yourself and your condition. You can download this paperwork on the New Patient Forms page.

Once the paperwork has been completed you will have a consultation with Dr. DePalma to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential and /or available treatment options.

History and Examination
In order to determine what your actual problem is Dr. DePalma will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.

X-ray Studies
Your specific condition may require us to take some x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Our diagnostic pictures of your spine and body will be read and evaluated by Dr. DePalma.

Same Day Treatment
Once finished with the examination and all appropriate diagnostic studies, patients may be provided with their first treatment during this same visit. This may include specific spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.

Home Instructions
Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or rehabilitation procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and / or stretches.

Schedule Your Next Appointment
You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within a few days and are provided with a complete written report of findings. If you are married, your spouse or partner is always welcome to attend and ask questions. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.
